The Summer Showcase is the largest high school age group NCAA-certified
observation event in the United States.
Most basketball analysts and college coaches consider the Showcase to
be the most competitive and prestigious tournament in America. For three
consecutive years it has hosted over 200 elite club teams and attracted
more than 400 collegiate coaches from virtually every NCAA Division I
basketball program in the country.
The majority of the nation’s most powerful club and AAU teams
compete in the event each year, which is conveniently held in the Northwest
Suburbs of Chicago.
The 2008 Showcase will begin at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday July 12 and conclude
at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 15. All teams must arrive in Chicago for
mandatory coaches' and NCAA educational meetings on Friday, July 11.
